History of 151-155 Craig Street

This building was designed and built in 1929 by architect Douglas James for Hugh George Savage, the owner, editor and publisher of the Cowichan Leader newspaper.

Hugh Savage used this building to house the Cowichan Leader’s offices and printing press.
